Meet Chelsea

My name is Chelsea and I am very excited to meet you. Here is a little about me and mine. 

I moved to Santa Monica, California looking to explore the beaches, hike in the hills and live the wonderful city life not really knowing where it would take me. I found a front desk position at a fabulous optometry office located downtown Santa Monica and immediately fell in love. My best friend and brilliant mentor, Richard took my under his wing and and taught me everything I needed to know to be a great optician. I swear that purchasing lenses is like purchasing a car! So many different ways to customize the product to be exactly what your lifestyle is needing and then comes the fabulous designer frames. All the beautiful shapes, sizes and colors your could imagine. It's hard to explain how satisfying it is to have a customer pick up their glasses, pop them on, and watch that beautiful smile come. You truly don't know what you are missing until you get the right prescription paired with quality lenses and a comfortable frame. PERFECTION! 

A few years later my husband and I decided it was time to relocate to Northern California and start our family. I have been lucky enough to work at another beautiful optometry office in Placer County for the last four years working as the office manager. Growing my skills in management drove me to wanting something of my own that I could pass down to my children someday. My husband and I had our first beautiful daughter, London Rose in January 2020 and from there Optician Company was born. Optician Co. was created so I could continue to spoil my children (our second coming to us in August 2021) with love and attention while still enjoying my optical career. This space is for you and yours to enjoy shopping from the comfort of your cozy home and know that something wonderful is on its way.
